Promising start for V12 Pedigrees

Of the 14 litters of racing age for V12 Pedigrees in Australia, UK & USA - for the those statistically minded:

11 out of the 14 litters have performed at city, open, Grade A class. That's a 79% strike rate.

Of those 11 litters - 7 have performed at Group winning, Group placing, Group contesting, feature winning, feature placing, feature contesting level. That's a 50% strike rate.

1 other litters got to A3 (UK) grade...the equivilent of 3rd grade/Grade C - with still racing time available. One other litter only had 2 pups and they lost the pups before racing age.

No wonder clients have returned for further breeding plans!

Bargain buys...

How many breeders can actually say the dogs they sell make a profit for their new owners? It is with much satisfaction, dogs sold by V12 Pedigrees' do in fact make good profit and most importantly give much enjoyment along the way. Some of the bargain buys from the V12 Pedigrees' stable include:

Henny Hughes (sale price $6,000) - this speedy and honest chasers' record currently stands at 22 starts 4-6-2 for $5,000 in prize money. With her either first or second in almost 50% of her starts to date and not 3yo 'til June 2009. A foregone conclusion Henny Hughes will recoup her sale price and then some.

Magic Manbo (sale price $1,500) - won a TAB feature race final, won and placed at Wentworth Park, Gosford, Richmond for $20,000 in Prize money. Magic Manbo finished with the record of 70 Starts 15-13-15

Quoting his new owner Dennis Mead "best dog we've owned in 20 years, even considering putting him to a brood of ours such was his genuine nature" - not bad for a $1,500 purchase.

Side note: Magic Manbo is a litter brother to the V12 Pedigrees' bred Kalden Fury...2006 & 2007 W.A.G.O.T.Y runner up, multiple feature race winner of $245,000 prize money.

Maribyrnong Girl (sale price $10,000) - went on to amass $25,000 in prize money including winning a heat of the Group 2 QLD Futurity and multiple city & TAB wins. Not to mention her value as a commercial broodbitch. Already whelping two litters and earning further dollars for her new owner.

Quoting her new owner Peter Dutton "Let me tell you she is worth every single cent and I a was rapt to be able to get into these bloodlines - Brett Lee x Heart Spark - not too shabby and a young bitch that was already an Albion Pk and Gold Coast winner...So Sooty is one great little bitch and I must thank Darren for the opportunity to buy her, not to mention changing my mind and convincing me to keep her with Tony." end quote

Lookout for the next sale, you just might find yourself another handy racer like others above have.

Complete Puzzle confirmed in pup

The Bechini Jackson Leeson breeding consortium are pleased to announce former Group class racebitch Complete Puzzle in pup to soon to be retired stud Big Daddy Cool.

Complete Puzzle is a member of a very smart litter, the likes of fellow Group race finalists Little Bit Shy (Wentworth Park 29.92, Dapto Oaks, Group 3 Nowra Puppy Classic) & Silver Bull (Group 1 Vic Peters Memorial).

Unfortunately for connections, Big Daddy Cool is to be retired from stud duty, due to fertility. A crying shame, with presently his offspring taking the world by storm. At time of writing Big Daddy Cool has the heir apparent Australian staying star in Varvatos. Along with his first Irish crop making big waves in Group 1 competitions - the likes of Pre-post favourite Timor Blue in the G1 Irish Puppy Derby and fastest round 1 winner Cabra Cool in the G1 Irish Laurels.

Depending on numbers some of the Big Daddy Cool x Complete Puzzle litter will be for sale.

Governator returns from injury...

Didn't take long for the ultra consistent V12 Pedigrees' mating plan Governator (ex Top Honcho) to return to winning ways after an injury enforced lay up. Romping home his OR at Hove (UK) by 6 & 1/2 L in a nippy 27.96 (TR 27.47).
