Roanokee sire line - under the radar?

Roanokee was undoubtedly a class greyhound on the racetrack who transferred this to his offspring. Resulting in some outstanding race dogs and potential sires. Which is exactly what we are seeing in 2008.

Already through his son No Tail Told, the Roanokee sire line has produced the Group 1 Scottish Derby winner - Fear Me. Through another sire son Ballymac Maeve, boom greyhound Ballymac Under also a Group 1 winner. With a further two sire sons at stud in the USA - Team Record & Swahili Eile. What of other Roanokee sired sons? In particular the brilliant Scarty Lad.

Scarty Lad the winner of 29 of his 52 race starts - including the Group 1 Kingdom Derby. Along with a track record run at Tralee. Is it time through Scarty Lad to see the Roanokee sire line as more than a non-commercial sire line.

Breaking down Scarty Lad's pedigree - he's by Roanokee winner of the Group 1 Melbourne Cup and multiple Group 1 sire. A sire line as previously mentioned already responsible through two different branches of numerous Group race winners. Out of adam sired by leading sire and peerless damsire Spiral Nikita. With his [Scarty Lad] grand dam sired by successful sire Joyful Tidings. His [Scarty Lad] 3rd dam by the immortal I'm Slippy, 4th dam by the immortal Sand Man and his [Scarty Lad] tail dam line tracing back to the highly successful Silver Hope aka Millie's Hawthorn dam line. Is their a more commercial pedigree available to breeders?
